About

O'Gorman is an artist and writer. Her practice explores the instability of objects and bodies. Working with live event, text, video and sculptural installation, her enquiries oscillate between material and somatic registers, considering otherness, speculative and expanded corporeal experiences: ultimately informing a dialogue around their social, political and historical resonances.

Recent exhibitions include Health Club, Hyde Park Art Centre (US) 2019, Lucian's Neighbours, IMMA (IE) 2018, In the Flesh, The Lab Gallery (IE),2016. Projects include: The Legacy of Gesture, 2018 (in collaboration with FACT, NHS Broad Green and DaDa Fest, Liverpool, UK) and A Knowing Body, 2018 at IMMA. Her work has been supported through various awards, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art Residency/Freud Project, The Future World of Work Residency with FACT, DaDa Fest and NHS Hospitals Trust Liverpool (UK),Wheatley Fine Art Fellowship (UK),the Arts Council of Ireland Visual Arts Bursary Award & Fire Station Artists Studio Residency, Dublin.
